“Sight” – In these dimly-lit sections, kids interact with a variety of visual stimuli, including tactile fiber optic lights, interactive heat-sensing visual displays, shadow-puppet theatre, black-light activities, and other light and color play. “Sound” -- Using every day objects and musical instruments, kids explore the physics of sound. They play with sounds and silence, percussion and wind, whispers and echoes with the variety of tools available to them in this space. “Taste”-- In addition to offering coffee for adults, Taste provides affordable, healthy, organic snacks. "Touch” – This space encourages different kinds of tactile sensations, including molding clay, finger painting, sand, water, and other “messy” types of activities. “Smell”--Throughout the space there are different kinds of smell stations, a “scent scavenger hunt,” where kids can identify different seasonal smells, spices, and other olfactory sensations while learning about how this sense helps in our everyday lives. “Balance & Motion”-- Special attractions like “Hot Lava” capture the imagination of kids as they maneuver through an obstacle course situated above a “lava” rug. There is also space designated for kids to develop their own obstacle course. Within this space is “Crawl,” an area that provides multi-sensory experiences for children 24 months and younger in a safe, contained space. Finally, there is our “shrinking” room that leads kids to a play area with large-scale versions of Connect 4, Yahtzee, bowling, checkers, and other board games. **Our Imagination Garden will reopen in Late May or Early June.
What Our Customers Are Saying
Where do I even begin? This place is simply amazing! The owner went above and beyond today for my son's birthday party and was so extremely helpful! Everyone was talking about how cool the place was and all of the kids in attendance truly enjoyed themselves! Whether it's for a fun play day (we could all use those with this weather!) or for a birthday party, Hippo Campus is a great choice! We can't wait to go back! --Lindsey, January 2017
